GEO Agency in Singapore: How to Tell Them Apart
CANLAH AI is a generative engine optimisation (GEO) agency in Singapore that measures whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot cite your brand, then fixes the causes. This page sets out how to tell Singapore GEO agencies apart and publishes our own measurements of which ones get cited — including the questions where we are absent.
How do I choose between Singapore GEO agencies?
Five questions that separate vendors who measure from vendors who present. They work on us too — the last one is the reason the section below exists.
Ask for the raw answers, not a dashboard
Any vendor can screenshot one good answer. Ask for the stored engine responses behind every number, with timestamps, and ask whether you can re-run the same question set yourself. If the evidence cannot be re-opened months later, the number cannot be checked.
Ask which engine each number came from
Engines do not behave alike. In our own runs, one directory domain was the single most-cited source on one engine and appeared zero times on another, across the same category. A figure quoted without an engine name is not a measurement, and a method that assumes all engines work the same way will be wrong on at least one of them.
Ask how many runs each figure represents
Ask the same question twice in fresh sessions and you frequently get different vendor sets. We treat five runs per engine as a floor and report frequencies, never a single result. A one-screenshot claim is a sample of one.
Ask what happens when the answer is no
A useful report tells you which questions you lost and who was cited instead. If every slide is good news, the question set was chosen to produce good news. Ours names the questions where we are absent — see below.
Read the guarantee clause, not the headline
Nobody controls whether a generative engine cites a brand in a given answer, so guarantees have to be read closely: what triggers them, how the metric is defined, and what the remedy actually is. We set out which clauses we will and will not sign in our guide to whether a GEO agency can guarantee results.
Which Singapore GEO agencies do AI engines actually cite?
We ran our own category. Figures below come from instrumented runs on a GPT-5.5 class model with web search, Singapore, 30 rounds across six buyer questions, 30 August 2026 — plus a separate 15-round set on Google AI Overviews in September. One vendor's measurements of its own category, stated with their limits so you can weigh them.
Our own visibility on pure SEO questions
On "best SEO agency Singapore" and "top SEO agencies in Singapore 2026", our brand was named in zero of five runs each. We rank on questions that use the words GEO or generative engine optimisation, and not on the words most buyers actually type. We publish this because a vendor who will not show you their own weak numbers will not show you yours.
Where we do get named
On "generative engine optimization agency singapore" we were named and cited in three of five runs, and on "best GEO agency" in two of five. That is a narrow win on category-specific vocabulary, not a general one.
Most-cited source in that run set
One agency directory was cited in 18 of 30 rounds on that engine — more than any agency's own website. On a different engine, in a separate 15-round set, the same directory appeared zero times while Singapore agencies' own sites made up eleven of the fifty-five cited domains. Which sources matter depends on which engine you are asking about.
Same question, different answer
Issuing one identical prompt three times in fresh sessions returned three different vendor sets. This is the single most important thing to understand before buying: any claim resting on one screenshot describes one roll of the dice.
These describe two engines on two question sets in one market, over two dates. They are not a ranking of Singapore agencies and we have not published one — a vendor ranking its own category with itself at the top tells you about the vendor, not the category.

Frequently asked
What does a GEO agency in Singapore actually do?
Four things, in this order. It checks whether answer engines can fetch your pages at all — at robots.txt and at the CDN, because a clean robots file can still sit behind a closed bot rule. It puts a self-contained answer on the page each buyer question belongs to, so a machine can lift it out without the surrounding paragraphs. It makes your entity facts consistent everywhere a machine looks. And it works on the third-party pages that engine leans on for your category. Anything beyond that is either measurement or reporting.
How do I choose between Singapore GEO agencies?
Compare deliverables and evidence, not vocabulary. GEO, AEO and AI search optimisation are three names for substantially the same work, so the acronym on the invoice tells you nothing. Ask each vendor for: the question set they will measure, how many runs per engine, which engines, where the raw answers are stored, and how long they keep them. Then ask them to show you a question where their own brand loses.
How much does a GEO agency cost in Singapore?
Published Singapore retainers ran roughly S$840 to S$4,200 a month in 2026, with GEO-focused scopes typically starting around S$1,600 to S$3,000 — those are other agencies' published rates. Price does not predict capability: some S$1,600 scopes include AI citation tracking and some S$3,300 scopes do not. We do not publish a rate card; we run a free 48-hour visibility snapshot first and scope against the gap it shows. Our pricing page sets out how the tiers differ.
Is GEO different from SEO?
The retrieval layer overlaps heavily — an engine still has to find and fetch your page — but the winning shape differs. Traditional SEO optimises for a ranked list of links; GEO optimises for being the sentence an engine reuses inside a synthesised answer. In practice that means self-contained passages, consistent entity facts, and presence on the third-party pages that engine cites. Our GEO versus SEO guide sets out what carries over and what does not.
Can a GEO agency guarantee my brand appears in AI answers?
No, and a guarantee framed that way is worth reading closely. Generative engines are probabilistic and their retrieval sources change continuously. What can be committed to contractually is the work and the measurement — probe volume per engine, cadence, evidence retention, and a written review point. We publish which clauses we will and will not sign.
