Dental SEO in Singapore: Google, Maps and AI Answers for Dental Clinics

Dental SEO in Singapore now has two jobs: get the clinic found when patients search Google and Google Maps for a treatment, and get it named when they ask ChatGPT or Google's AI which dentist to see for Invisalign, implants or wisdom tooth removal. AI answers check official registers and the clinic's own pages before they name a clinic, so the work is doctor pages that match the SDC register, treatment pages in plain facts within MOH and SDC rules, and clinic details machines can read. We measure it every month.

00 — WHERE DENTAL CLINICS START

What 313 Singapore dental clinic websites get wrong

In October 2026 we checked 1,047 dental clinic listings on Google Maps and the 313 dental websites they link to. Dental sites had the highest share of broken pages of any clinic segment; most of the rest give patients a way to book, and the gaps sit in the facts Google and AI assistants need in order to pick a clinic.

23.7%

of 1,047 dental Google Maps listings link to no website of their own

7.0%

of 313 dental websites return an error or a broken page, and 3.8% still show placeholder "lorem ipsum" text

38.0%

of 258 dental sites mark the homepage up as a clinic in schema.org

30.6%

of 291 dental homepages have no meta description

01 — WHAT AI CHECKS

What ChatGPT checks before it names a dentist

Patients now ask assistants which clinic to see for Invisalign, implants or wisdom tooth removal. In Canlah AI's ChatGPT test of October 25, 2026, all three dental questions named clinics, and 11 of the 13 dental clinics named (84.6%) had their own site cited in the same answer. Clinic sites were the largest source type, at 12 of 20 links (60.0%).

Before it names a clinic, an answer checks who the dentists are. Across 74 ChatGPT answers to dental and aesthetic clinic questions in September 2026, the sources checked depended on how the patient asked:

  • Generic "which clinic is best"

21 of 22 answers checked specialist registers or official sources (SDC, SMC, MOH)

  • Price questions

18 of 18 answers checked prices and subsidies

  • Specific "which clinic is best" for a condition

15 of 16 answers turned the patient's words into specialist terms

That makes the doctor page, the treatment page and the price page the parts of AI visibility a dental clinic controls. The eight-industry test is in which industries benefit most from GEO, and the 74-answer breakdown is in the GEO Playbook, Dental & Aesthetics Edition.

02 — GOOGLE MAPS

Local SEO for dentists: Google Maps and your Business Profile

A patient searching "dentist near me" or a neighbourhood plus a treatment sees Maps listings first, and taps one to call, get directions or open the clinic's site. In Singapore, an AI Overview often sits above that map now. Searching from Bishan on November 1, 2026, we saw Google put one above the map for "dentist near me" and "best dentist singapore", naming top-rated clinics with their rating, address and opening hours and linking to clinic web pages, and the overviews for "invisalign cost singapore" and "root canal treatment" also linked mostly to clinic sites. That runs against BrightEdge's tracking of healthcare searches, which does not state its market and found no AI Overview on local provider searches such as "pediatric dentist near me" by December 2025. Google says it ranks local results mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and that complete, accurate business information helps a listing show up. For a Singapore dental clinic, three things are in your hands.

  1. 01

Every listing links to a working page on your own site

23.7% of 1,047 Singapore dental Google Maps listings link to no website of their own, the most of any clinic segment after GP. A listing without a site still takes calls, but it gives Google's AI and ChatGPT no clinic-owned page to cite.

  2. 02

One page per outlet, matching its listing

For a group with several outlets, each outlet gets its own page with its neighbourhood, address, opening hours, dentists and WhatsApp, and the Maps listing for that outlet links to it. The name, address, phone and hours read the same on the page, the listing and the directories engines read.

  3. 03

Reviews stay where patients leave them

Google counts the number of reviews towards a listing's prominence, but a Singapore dentist cannot chase them. Section 5.4.6 of the Singapore Dental Council's Ethical Code bans testimonials on any media a dentist controls and bars asking or inducing patients to write positive ones, and MOH's FAQ bars copying reviews onto the clinic's own website or social pages and prohibits paid reviews. So a dental clinic cannot run review campaigns or put review carousels on its site, and we do not.

03 — THE WORK

What we do for a Singapore dental clinic each month

  1. 01

Fix what stops patients and engines reaching you

The Maps listing points to a working page on your own site, the homepage is marked up as a Dentist with address, hours and services, every page has a meta description, and the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI can fetch it. These are the gaps the dental benchmark found most often, and each one is a fix on your own site.

  2. 02

Doctor pages that match the SDC register

One page per dentist with the SDC-approved qualifications, the registration number and a link to the official register lookup, and specialist status written exactly as the register lists it. AI answers about which dentist to see check registers and official sources more than anything else, so this page carries the most weight.

  3. 03

Treatment pages in the words AI uses

One page per treatment, such as clear aligners, implants, wisdom tooth surgery and root canal treatment, opening with a direct answer on who it suits, what it involves, recovery and the dentist who performs it. AI answers turn a patient's words into specialist terms, a deep bite into an orthodontist, so each page names the specialty and the procedure the way the register and the answers do.

  4. 04

Price pages and clinic facts that read the same everywhere

A price page per treatment that says what is included and which subsidies or MediSave claims apply where they do, and the clinic's name, address, dentists, opening hours and services kept identical across your site, Google Business Profile and the directories engines read.

  5. 05

    Measurement, per engine, every month

Each AI platform carries 4 buyer questions, each asked 5–10 real ways, re-tested every month against the baseline taken before the work starts. You get the raw answers, so any number can be checked months later.

04 — ADVERTISING RULES

Written within MOH and SDC rules

Licensed dental clinics advertise under the Healthcare Services (Advertisement) Regulations 2021, and MOH's FAQ on those regulations states that what a licensee publishes on its own website is covered. Laudatory statements, before-and-after photos and comparisons with other licensees are out. Dentists are also bound by the Singapore Dental Council's Ethical Code and Ethical Guidelines, which let them advertise with neutrally toned, objective information about their SDC-registered qualifications, experience and areas of practice, and bar them from asking patients for positive testimonials.

So every title, meta description, schema field and treatment page we write states plain facts, and we never ask patients for reviews. The red lines and the pages worth writing are set out chapter by chapter in the GEO Playbook, Dental & Aesthetics Edition, and the seven-step check is in how to check a clinic website against Singapore advertising rules.

05 — PRICING

Priced per AI platform, measured against your own baseline

GEO service, from $1,500 a month

Starter covers ChatGPT, from $1,500 a month; Growth adds Google AI Overviews, from $3,000 a month; Full covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Gemini as a customised plan. Every tier is set out on the GEO service page.

One written bar

AI names you at least 30% more often than at your starting baseline, re-tested every month on the same buyer questions. No ranking guarantee, and the raw answers are yours.

Site fixes, one fixed price

If the site itself needs fixing first (speed, booking and WhatsApp buttons, page titles, clinic schema), we do it from one written list agreed before we start, at one fixed price. See clinic website design and fixes.

Comparing agencies?

We rank Singapore's dental marketing agencies and medical SEO agencies on the same criteria we would want a clinic to use on us. For aesthetic clinics, see aesthetic clinic SEO in Singapore; for GP and other clinics, clinic SEO in Singapore.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does dental SEO in Singapore cover in 2026?

It covers Google search, Google Maps and AI answers together, because all three read the same clinic website. The work is fixing the site basics (an own site linked from Maps, Dentist schema, meta descriptions, a fast mobile page), writing doctor pages that match the SDC register, writing a page for each treatment in plain facts, keeping the clinic's details consistent across the web and measuring how often Google's AI and ChatGPT name the clinic. In Canlah AI's October 2026 check of 313 Singapore dental websites, only 38.0% of 258 carried clinic schema and 30.6% of 291 had no meta description.

How much does dental SEO cost in Singapore?

Canlah AI's GEO service is priced per AI platform: Starter covers ChatGPT from $1,500 a month, Growth adds Google AI Overviews from $3,000 a month, and Full adds Google AI Mode and Gemini as a customised plan. Each platform carries 4 buyer questions re-tested every month against your starting baseline. For context, published SEO and GEO retainers from Singapore agencies run about S$840 to S$4,200 a month in 2026; those are other agencies' rates, set out on our pricing page.

Does ChatGPT recommend specific dentists in Singapore?

Yes. In Canlah AI's ChatGPT test of October 25, 2026, all three dental questions, on Invisalign, dental implants and wisdom tooth removal, named clinics: 13 dental clinics in total. Most of them had their own website cited in the same answer, 11 of 13 (84.6%), and clinic sites made up 12 of the 20 links cited (60.0%). A single run is a snapshot, which is why we re-test every month.

Can a dental clinic in Singapore show reviews or before-and-after photos on its website?

Not as advertising. MOH's FAQ on the Healthcare Services (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 says advertisements must not feature before-and-after or "after" treatment photos, even with disclaimers, and the SDC's Ethical Code bars dentists from asking or inducing patients to write positive testimonials. We keep testimonials, star ratings and before-and-after photos off every page the clinic controls and state checkable facts instead: the dentist's registered qualifications, the treatment steps, recovery time and price.

What is local SEO for dentists in Singapore?

Local SEO for dentists is the work that gets a dental clinic shown in Google Maps and "dentist near me" results: a Business Profile linked to a working page on the clinic's own site, one page per outlet whose details match its listing, and the same name, address, phone and hours across every directory. In Canlah AI's October 2026 check, 23.7% of 1,047 Singapore dental Maps listings linked to no website of their own.

Can a dental clinic in Singapore ask patients for Google reviews?

Not for positive ones. Section 5.4.6 of the Singapore Dental Council's Ethical Code bars dentists from asking or inducing patients to write positive testimonials, and bans testimonials on any media the dentist controls. MOH's FAQ on the Healthcare Services (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 also bars copying reviews onto the clinic's own website or social pages and prohibits paid reviews.

How long before a dental clinic shows up more often in AI answers?

In Canlah AI's client projects, new AI citations typically begin to appear about 15 days after the first batch of changes goes live. The service is planned around a first before-and-after read by day 60 and a decision-grade read by day 90. The written bar is that AI names you at least 30% more often than at your starting baseline, re-tested every month; we never guarantee rankings.
