Hashmeta Review & Best Alternatives for 2026
Hashmeta review: what the Singapore agency publishes on GEO, AEO and Hashmeta AI, whether its guarantee claims carry evidence and the best alternatives to it.
A review of Hashmeta for Singapore buyers shortlisting a GEO agency: what the group is, which of its public promises carry evidence and which alternatives deserve a second meeting.
Quick answer
Canlah AI ranks first among the Hashmeta alternatives in this review, for buyers who want AI visibility reported as re-verifiable ranges rather than as a citation guarantee. Hashmeta itself is a Singapore digital marketing group founded in 2012 that sells generative engine optimization through two entities, the agency at hashmeta.com and Hashmeta AI Pte Ltd at hashmeta.ai, and it publishes more GEO and AEO material than any other Singapore agency reviewed here. Stridec publishes the clearest price range at S$3,500 to S$15,000 a month, AI Studio was the most-cited Singapore GEO domain in Canlah AI’s September 7, 2026 probe run with 91 source citations, OOm has run Singapore SEO since 2006, MediaPlus Digital states on its own page that no agency can guarantee a citation and NovaStacks gives away a self-serve tracker before any retainer.
This is an editorial review based on public service pages available on September 23, 2026. It is not a controlled test of client outcomes.
Disclosure: Canlah AI is one of the alternatives below, and we place ourselves first. We compete with Hashmeta in the Singapore GEO market, so this is not a neutral review. What we say about Hashmeta and the others comes from their public materials, and no provider paid for inclusion.
What is Hashmeta?
Hashmeta is a Singapore-headquartered digital marketing group founded in 2012 by Terrence and Monica, according to its corporate page. The same page states that Hashmeta has assisted over 1,000 local brands and 20,000 regional advertisers, runs a team of more than 50 full-time in-house marketers and keeps offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. Its registered Singapore address is 30A Kallang Place, #11-08/09.
Hashmeta’s agency sits inside a product ecosystem the group owns, which is unusual in this category. Skoolopedia, a preschool portal, and StarNgage, an influencer marketplace with more than two million influencers in its database, both started in 2014. ShopperBoard was acquired in 2019, ShopperCliq launched in 2020 and Hashmeta Academy opened in December 2020 with ATO accreditation from SkillsFuture Singapore.
GEO arrived on top of that base. Hashmeta publishes a Generative Engine Optimisation page and an Answer Engine Optimisation page under hashmeta.com, plus a separate, newer brand, Hashmeta AI, at hashmeta.ai. Buyers searching “hashmeta singapore” land on either, and the two read very differently.
What Hashmeta does well
Hashmeta is strongest where publishing volume, market coverage and a long client history matter more than measurement design. Four strengths stand out on its public pages.
- Genuine local track record. Fourteen years, 50-plus in-house staff and five regional offices are a different proposition from a two-person GEO shop. For a buyer who also needs social, Xiaohongshu, influencer work or a website build, one contract covers all of it.
- Real AI-search presence. In a Canlah AI probe run on September 7, 2026, hashmeta.com was cited as a source 41 times across 234 scheduled runs of 39 Singapore buyer questions. In a separate August 2026 run, Hashmeta was the only agency named by both ChatGPT with web search and the Tavily answer engine, an association between its published GEO material and its presence in those answer sets, not proof that the method caused it.
- A published framework and a score. Hashmeta AI documents a CITE framework covering citation, indexability, trust and entity, plus a Brand AI Visibility Score out of 100 with five weighted components: citation frequency at 30%, citation position at 25% and platform breadth, sentiment and accuracy at 15% each. Comparable published weightings were not found on the other Singapore provider pages reviewed for this article.
- Breadth of engines named. The hashmeta.ai home page names ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Grok, Google AI Overviews, DeepSeek and Ernie, and offers a free audit described as a share-of-answer scan across eight engines with a 30-minute strategist call.
Hashmeta AI also publishes per-market GEO reports for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines, and states that it works with 65-plus brands across six markets.
Where Hashmeta fits less well
Hashmeta is a content-and-coverage agency that added GEO, which suits many buyers but sets boundaries for evidence-sensitive ones. Three limits matter most, and each is a scope question, not a quality judgement.
- Guarantee language ahead of method. The GEO capability page leads with being the world’s first GEO and AEO agency that guarantees AI citation dominance, and lists a refund promise as a feature. Refund conditions, the definition of a qualifying citation and the retest protocol were not found on reviewed pages.
- Headline percentages without denominators. The GEO page cites a 300% increase in ChatGPT citations, 95% AI citation improvement, 67% more quality traffic and 40% higher conversion rates. The AEO page cites an 89% average AI citation share in 120 days against an 8% industry baseline. No client, engine, query count, window or source was found beside any of those figures on the reviewed pages.
- Two brands, one address, different claims. hashmeta.com names three to four engines and sells guarantees. hashmeta.ai names nine engines, publishes the CITE framework and states that AI answers cite roughly three to five sources. A buyer has to ask which entity signs the contract and which methodology applies.
The client quotations on the GEO capability page are attributed to Sarah Chen of TechFlow Solutions and Marcus Rodriguez of DataDriven Insights. A named Singapore client and a date were not found on either testimonial when the page was reviewed.
Hashmeta claims and their evidence status, public pages reviewed September 23, 2026.
| Claim on Hashmeta’s public pages | Where it appears | Evidence status on the reviewed page |
|---|---|---|
| World’s first GEO and AEO agency | hashmeta.com GEO capability page | Register entry, date or third-party attestation not found on reviewed pages |
| AI citation improvements or a full refund | hashmeta.com GEO capability page | Refund conditions not found on reviewed pages |
| 95% AI citation improvement, 300% more ChatGPT citations | hashmeta.com GEO capability page | Client, engine, sample size and window not found on reviewed pages |
| 89% average AI citation share in 120 days against an 8% baseline | hashmeta.com AEO capability page | Baseline source not found on reviewed pages |
| Free AI Visibility Audit, stated value $497 | hashmeta.com GEO capability page | Stated list value; a transacted price not found on reviewed pages |
| Over 40% of 100 to 200 tested brands sit at BAVIS tier D or F | hashmeta.ai home page | Sample composition, markets and test dates not found on reviewed pages |
| Number one ranking for “GEO Agency Singapore” | hashmeta.ai home page | Engine, location and check date not found on reviewed pages |
“Not found on reviewed pages” means Hashmeta’s public materials did not state that detail when checked on September 23, 2026. It is not proof that the detail does not exist privately. Confirm each item directly during procurement.
Hashmeta AI, the CITE framework and the BAVIS score
Hashmeta AI is a separate company, Hashmeta AI Pte Ltd, registered at the same Kallang Place address as the agency. Its positioning is AI-first rather than social-first: agentic marketing, an AI CMS, an AI CRM and search-everywhere optimization across TikTok, YouTube, Xiaohongshu, Reddit and marketplaces.
The BAVIS score is the artefact to read before any meeting. It is a weighted composite out of 100 with six tiers, from S at 85 to 100 down to F at 0 to 24, and Hashmeta AI reports that over 40% of the 100 to 200 brands it tested sit at tier D or F.
A composite score is useful for a board slide and weak for a decision. Because citation frequency carries 30% and platform breadth only 15%, a brand can raise its BAVIS number by being mentioned more often on one engine while staying invisible on the four its buyers actually use. Ask for the per-engine figures behind any score, and the number of runs each figure rests on.
Hashmeta pricing and what the reviewed pages state
Hashmeta prices GEO and AEO through a free audit and a strategist call rather than a rate card: no monthly price, package tier or minimum engagement was found on hashmeta.com or hashmeta.ai on September 23, 2026. The only figure attached to a deliverable is the stated $497 value of the free AI Visibility Audit, which is a list value rather than a transacted rate.
Published Singapore GEO retainers span S$840 to S$15,000 a month, based on provider pricing pages reviewed on September 23, 2026: S$840 a month at the budget SEO end, S$1,600 to S$3,000 for GEO-focused scopes, S$4,200 for full-service programmes and S$3,500 to S$15,000 across Stridec’s published managed range. Canlah AI also publishes no rate card and scopes after a free 48-hour snapshot, so both agencies should be asked for a written scope before any comparison is meaningful.
Singapore SMEs expanding overseas should raise Enterprise Singapore’s Market Readiness Assistance grant early. Stridec’s guide states that the grant covers up to 70% of qualifying costs under the overseas marketing pillar, capped at S$20,000 per market, and that the documentation has to exist before work begins.
The best Hashmeta alternatives in 2026
The six strongest Hashmeta alternatives in this review are Canlah AI, Stridec, AI Studio, OOm, MediaPlus Digital and NovaStacks. Which one fits depends on why the search started: published pricing, measurement the buyer can re-run, a single SEO and GEO contract or a free diagnostic before any commitment.
Comparison of six Singapore GEO providers and Hashmeta, public pages reviewed September 23, 2026.
| # | Provider | Best for | Engines named on reviewed pages | Published price | Main point to verify |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Canlah AI | Measurement reported as re-verifiable ranges, archive owned by the client | ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode on every tier | No rate card; free 48-hour snapshot | Which buyer intents the contracted tier tracks, since Perplexity and Chinese engines are not part of standard tracking |
| 2 | Stridec | SEO-led GEO with published pricing and monthly per-platform citation reporting | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews | S$3,500 to S$15,000 a month; US$9,000 per 90 days | Whether the quoted range covers GEO work or an SEO retainer that includes it |
| 3 | AI Studio | One combined SEO, AEO and GEO programme built on a 100 to 500 question audit | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Google AI Overviews | Not found on reviewed pages | The written definition of a new AI citation behind the 90-day guarantee |
| 4 | OOm | GEO inside a long-running SEO retainer, with an AI Overview impact report | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Google AI Overviews | Not found on reviewed pages | The conditions attached to the rank-or-three-months-free guarantee |
| 5 | MediaPlus Digital | GEO tied to a website rebuild, with a client-owned baseline and enquiry reporting | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews | Not found on reviewed pages | Sampling depth and raw answer access, which need writing into the contract |
| 6 | NovaStacks | A free self-serve tracker and 48-hour audit before any retainer | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Overviews | Free tracker and 48-hour audit | What the free tracker samples, how often and what the paid scope implements |
| — | Hashmeta (reviewed) | Breadth of content, verticals and APAC markets, with the BAVIS score | Nine engines on hashmeta.ai, three to four on hashmeta.com | Not found on reviewed pages | Which entity signs the contract and what counts as a qualifying citation |
Source: provider service pages reviewed September 23, 2026. Engine lists describe public positioning, not independently tested access. Citation counts quoted in this review come from Canlah AI’s own probe archive and show which pages entered the evidence pool, not endorsement or client results.
1. Canlah AI: Best overall alternative for evidence you can re-run
Canlah AI is a Singapore-based SEO + GEO agency that measures and improves brand visibility inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, reporting AI visibility as re-verifiable ranges with timestamped evidence. The same engine set applies on every tier; Perplexity and Chinese engines are not part of standard tracking.
Canlah AI ranks first in this comparison because it answers the question Hashmeta’s guarantee language leaves open: what exactly was measured, and can the buyer run it again. Each engagement locks its selected buyer intents for the contract period, runs each under at least three phrasing rotations per engine, stores every probe as a raw record carrying prompt, full answer, citations and timestamp, then reports citation frequency as a range rather than a single score, from a baseline and a monthly re-measurement. The archive belongs to the client, so a sceptical CFO or a rival agency can repeat the run.
Canlah AI publishes three tiers: Foundation tracks 4 buyer intents, Authority 8 and Dominance 16, each re-measured monthly on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
Best for
Singapore and APAC brands in B2B SaaS, export, education and regulated categories that prefer a measured range to a refund promise.
Limitations
Canlah AI is smaller than Hashmeta and does not offer influencer marketplaces, Xiaohongshu campaigns, gamification or a marketing academy. Buyers who want one vendor for everything will find Hashmeta’s ecosystem broader.
Its own AI visibility is also low. In a September 7, 2026 self-audit of 39 buyer questions run three times each, Canlah AI was named in seven of 84 non-branded OpenAI answers, or 8.3%, in none of 93 Gemini answers and in none of 51 browser-rendered Google AI Overviews. On that measure hashmeta.com, with 41 source citations in the same run, was more visible than Canlah AI in that run.
What to verify
Ask for a redacted evidence pack showing the prompt, phrasing rotation, engine, full answer, cited sources and timestamp. Confirm in writing which engines your tier includes, and who implements the on-site changes.
Verdict: The strongest Hashmeta alternative in this comparison when the number has to survive scrutiny. Buyers who mainly want content volume across many channels should look at Hashmeta or AI Studio instead.
2. Stridec: Best for published pricing and grant structuring
Stridec describes itself as an SEO-only agency doing AI citation work since 2024. Its public guide lists an AI citation audit, entity positioning, AI-optimised content, schema and citation-frequency reporting per platform, and it prices managed engagements at S$3,500 to S$15,000 a month, with a Managed AI Overview Mastery programme at US$9,000 for 90 days.
Best for
SEO-mature Singapore firms that want a written price before a proposal, and SMEs structuring an MRA-funded overseas visibility programme.
Limitations
Its most detailed claims are first-party, and the guide is itself a marketing asset. Its page also warns buyers against citation guarantees and timelines shorter than 30 days, which is a useful standard to hold Stridec to as well.
What to verify
Request the prompt set, raw before-and-after answers and the monthly volume of published changes.
Verdict: The clearest pricing in this comparison, and the most practical partner for grant paperwork.
3. AI Studio: Best for one combined SEO, AEO and GEO programme
AI Studio’s GEO page documents an audit of 100 to 500 industry questions across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot, then content architecture, citation-network work and a monthly share-of-voice dashboard. Its domain drew 91 source citations in Canlah AI’s September 7, 2026 probe run, the highest count of any Singapore provider measured.
Best for
Consumer, food and beverage, beauty and e-commerce brands that want one provider across search and AI answers.
Limitations
Its page carries a 90-day AI citation guarantee with a full refund, which raises the same definitional question as Hashmeta’s. Buyers should separate the baseline evidence from the guarantee language.
What to verify
Confirm the sample size, the engines in the retest and the written definition of a new AI citation.
Verdict: The closest like-for-like alternative to Hashmeta on breadth, with a more documented audit design.
4. OOm: Best for GEO inside an existing SEO retainer
OOm has operated as a Singapore SEO company since 2006. Its GEO page lists a keyword audit, LLM content optimisation, schema work and an AI Overview impact report, and in July 2026 it published one of its own pages cited by Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, labelled as one page in one market rather than a study.
Best for
Companies that already buy SEO from a long-standing team and want AI search added under one contract.
Limitations
The page also offers a rank-or-three-months-free guarantee, whose conditions deserve a careful reading before signing.
What to verify
Ask for client-side answer samples, the engines sampled and the written guarantee conditions.
Verdict: The safest consolidation play for a buyer who does not want to change SEO vendors.
5. MediaPlus Digital: Best for GEO tied to a website rebuild
MediaPlus Digital’s AI SEO page names ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, states plainly that nobody can guarantee a citation and commits instead to a clear baseline, client-owned data and reporting against enquiries and revenue. Its domain drew 85 source citations in the September 7, 2026 probe run, the second-highest count.
Best for
Singapore SMEs whose website itself is the constraint and who want the rebuild and the GEO work from one team.
Limitations
Sampling depth and raw answer access were not found on the reviewed page, so the baseline commitment needs to be pinned down in the contract.
What to verify
Request the sampling frequency, the monitoring tool used and how AI answer metrics are separated from Google ranking results.
Verdict: The most conservative claims in this comparison, which for some buyers is the point.
6. NovaStacks: Best for a free diagnostic before committing
NovaStacks leads with self-serve diagnostics: a free AI Visibility Tracker and a 48-hour audit covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI Overviews. Its domain drew 53 source citations in the September 7, 2026 probe run.
Best for
Teams that want a number in hand before briefing a single agency, including internal teams testing whether GEO is worth a retainer at all.
Limitations
Managed implementation scope was described in less detail than the free tracker and the 48-hour audit on the reviewed page, so the diagnostic may be the strongest part of the relationship.
What to verify
Ask what the free tracker samples, how often and what changes the paid engagement actually implements.
Verdict: The cheapest way to start, and a reasonable second opinion on any Hashmeta audit.
How to decide between Hashmeta and an alternative
Pick Hashmeta if you want one Singapore group covering GEO, AEO, social, Xiaohongshu, influencer and web work across six APAC markets, and an alternative when a condition below applies.
- Choose Hashmeta if breadth of channels and markets matters more than measurement design, and you are comfortable pinning down the guarantee terms in the contract.
- Choose Hashmeta AI if you want the CITE framework and the BAVIS score specifically, and you confirm which entity signs.
- Choose Canlah AI if the visibility number has to be re-runnable by a third party, and you want the evidence archive in your own hands.
- Choose Stridec if you need a published price range or an MRA-compliant structure.
- Choose AI Studio if you want a single SEO, AEO and GEO programme with a documented question audit.
- Choose MediaPlus Digital if the website rebuild is the real project.
- Choose NovaStacks if you want a free baseline before any agency conversation.
Whatever you choose, ask each finalist to show the raw answers and cited URLs behind one reported figure, because a citation score you cannot trace is a score you cannot act on.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Hashmeta review independent?
No. Canlah AI competes with Hashmeta in the Singapore GEO market and places itself first among the alternatives above. Every Hashmeta claim quoted here is attributed to the public page it appears on, so a buyer can check the same pages and reach a different conclusion. Ask Hashmeta for the same evidence pack this review asks of every provider.
Is Hashmeta a good GEO agency?
Hashmeta is a credible choice for Singapore brands that need breadth: 14 years of local history, more than 50 in-house marketers, offices in five regional markets and GEO sold alongside social, influencer and web services. It is a weaker fit for buyers who need per-engine sampling detail, since the protocol behind its published percentages was not found on reviewed pages.
How much does Hashmeta cost?
Hashmeta prices GEO and AEO through a free audit and a strategist call rather than a published rate card. No monthly rate, package or minimum was found on hashmeta.com or hashmeta.ai on September 23, 2026, and the only figure attached to a deliverable is the stated $497 value of its free AI Visibility Audit. For market context, published Singapore GEO retainers run from S$840 to S$15,000 a month depending on scope.
What is Hashmeta AI, and is it the same company as Hashmeta?
Hashmeta AI Pte Ltd is a separate company at the same Singapore address, 30A Kallang Place, positioned as an AI-first agency with the CITE framework, the BAVIS score, per-market GEO reports and AI CMS and CRM products. The two sites name different engine sets, so confirm which entity your contract is with and which methodology applies to your reporting.
Can Hashmeta guarantee that ChatGPT recommends my brand?
No. No agency controls how an independent model answers a given question, and Hashmeta’s public refund conditions were not found on reviewed pages. Treat any citation guarantee as a commercial term to be read, not as evidence that a method works, and ask what counts as a qualifying citation before signing.
What are the best Hashmeta alternatives in Singapore?
The strongest alternatives in this review are Canlah AI for re-verifiable measurement, Stridec for published pricing and MRA structuring, AI Studio for a combined SEO, AEO and GEO programme, OOm for GEO inside an existing SEO retainer, MediaPlus Digital for a website rebuild and NovaStacks for a free diagnostic first. Each was assessed from its own public pages on September 23, 2026, so the shortlist reflects what those providers publish rather than tested client outcomes.
Does Hashmeta track DeepSeek, Qwen or Doubao?
The hashmeta.ai home page names DeepSeek and Ernie among the engines it gets brands cited in. Qwen and Doubao were not found on reviewed pages. If Chinese engines matter to your market, ask any Singapore provider for a dated sample answer from each engine rather than accepting a logo row.
How is Canlah AI different from Hashmeta?
Hashmeta sells breadth across channels, markets and verticals, and leads with a citation guarantee. Canlah AI locks a set of buyer intents, runs at least three phrasing rotations per engine, reports citation frequency as a range and hands over the raw archive, while refusing to guarantee an outcome. Start with the free 48-hour snapshot if you want to see your own baseline before choosing either.
