Peec AI Review & Best Alternatives for 2026

Peec AI review: pricing, engines, share of voice and limits, plus Profound, Semrush, Otterly.AI and Scrunch alternatives, led by Canlah AI for evidence.

Two dark cards side by side, the front one edged with indigo light

A fair review of Peec AI for mid-market marketing teams and agencies, checked against public pages on September 23, 2026: what the platform measures, what it costs and where it stops. The second half of this review covers the alternatives worth shortlisting when you need a different engine set, a different price point or evidence you can re-run.

Quick answer

Canlah AI ranks first among the Peec AI alternatives in this review for teams that need re-verifiable evidence and managed execution rather than another dashboard. Peec AI itself is a self-serve AI search analytics platform from Berlin, priced from $95 a month, that tracks brand visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice across AI answer engines, and it does that job cleanly for mid-market teams and agencies. Profound fits enterprise programmes, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit suits teams already on Semrush at $99 per domain, Scrunch ties monitoring to site delivery for AI agents at $250 a month, Otterly.AI has the lowest published entry price at $29 a month and Ahrefs Brand Radar benchmarks a whole category from a $199 index without writing prompts first.

This is an editorial review based on public product and pricing pages reviewed on September 23, 2026. It is not a controlled test of tool accuracy.

Disclosure: Canlah AI is one of the alternatives below, and we place ourselves first. We compete with Peec AI, so this is not a neutral review. What we say about Peec AI and the others comes from their public materials, and none of the tools were tested through paid accounts.

What is Peec AI?

Peec AI is an AI search analytics tool, often filed under generative engine optimization (GEO) or answer engine optimization. Its own AI Instructions page describes a Berlin company founded in 2025, launched in February 2025 and backed by about $29 million in funding, including a $21 million Series A in November 2025 led by Singular. The same page claims 3,000+ marketing teams, brands and agencies as customers, with named brands such as Zalando, Attio, Wix and TUI.

The product runs a set of prompts you choose through AI engines every day and reports how often your brand appears, where it lands in the answer and how it is described. Peec AI states that it measures but does not write or publish content itself. Its centre of gravity is the mid-market: self-serve plans with unlimited seats, plus a separate agency track for managing many client brands in one account.

What Peec AI does well

Peec AI is strongest when a team needs a clean, shared view of AI visibility without an enterprise contract. Four strengths stand out on its public pages.

  • Unlimited seats on every plan. Peec AI’s pricing page lists unlimited users from Starter upward, so everyone who acts on the data can log in. Its comparison page contrasts this with competitors that meter seats.
  • Clear metric definitions. Visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice are defined in writing, with formulas. That makes a Peec AI number easier to explain to a client or a CFO than a single composite score.
  • Source and gap analysis. The pricing page lists citation share, source classification (competitor, editorial, reference or UGC) and a gap analysis of sources that name competitors but not you. That turns monitoring into a list of pages and publishers to work on.
  • An agency-first plan structure. Separate agency plans bundle per-client projects, pitch-project prompts and centralised billing. Peec AI also runs a public agency directory that includes DEPT, Monks and Threepipe Reply.

The product has also added breadth in 2026: an AI Shopping module with SKU-level tracking, a crawlability audit across 40+ AI bots, fact-checking of AI answers against brand facts you set, and MCP access for working inside Claude or Cursor.

How Peec AI calculates share of voice

Peec AI share of voice is a relative measure, not a reach measure. Peec AI defines it as your brand mentions divided by all brand mentions across tracked brands, multiplied by 100. Visibility, by contrast, is the percentage of AI responses in which your brand appears at all.

The difference matters when you read a report. Peec AI’s own example is a brand mentioned four times against a competitor’s 12 mentions: 40% visibility, but only 25% share of voice. A share of voice figure therefore moves when competitors are added or removed from the tracked set, even if no AI answer changed. Position is the average rank when your brand appears, where lower is better, and sentiment is scored from 0 to 100.

Each figure rests on single daily runs. Peec AI counts an “AI answer” as one chat result per model, so 25 prompts across three models for 30 days produce 2,250 answers. Per-prompt repeat sampling within a day was not found on the reviewed pages.

Where Peec AI fits less well

Peec AI is a focused measurement layer, which suits most marketing teams but sets boundaries for some buyers. Three limits matter most, and each is a scope question, not a quality judgement.

  • Three models at a time on self-serve plans. Starter, Pro and Advanced each let you choose three models from a default six: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. A fourth model costs extra, and Enterprise raises the ceiling to 13 models.
  • Chinese engines sit behind upgrades. Peec AI lists a DeepSeek API model and a Qwen API model as paid add-ons, and describes them as API access rather than the consumer apps. Doubao was not found on the reviewed pages. For brands selling into Greater China, that is a material gap to confirm.
  • Monitoring, not delivery. Peec AI surfaces gaps and recommended actions, but it is software. Your team or your agency still writes the content, fixes the pages and earns the third-party mentions.

A fourth point is worth noting for small brands. Marketer Milk’s independent Peec AI review observes that the tool delivers more value for established sites with existing search demand, since a brand with little awareness gives the engines little to mention.

Peec AI pricing and plans

Peec AI pricing is based on tracked prompts and models, with a separate agency track priced in credits. Prices below are in US dollars as shown on Peec AI’s pages; the site also renders euro prices by region, and annual billing takes about 15% off.

Peec AI plans, pricing pages reviewed September 23, 2026.

Plan Price per month Prompts or credits Models Projects Main point to verify
Starter $95 50 prompts Choose 3 1 Unlimited users and daily tracking; you pick three of the six default models
Pro $245 150 prompts Choose 3 2 Up to 3 countries per project; country splits draw on the same 150 prompts
Advanced $495 350 prompts Choose 3 5 Multi-country and Looker Studio; a fourth model adds $165 a month at this tier
Enterprise Custom Custom Up to 13 Unlimited API, SSO and daily or weekly tracking; price and model list are set in the contract
Agency Essential $245 10,000 credits All 6 default 3 Unlimited client seats; 10,000 credits is about 111 prompts on three models for 30 days
Agency Growth $495 25,000 credits All 6 default 10 Looker Studio; 25,000 credits is about 277 prompts on three models for 30 days
Agency Scale $795 65,000 credits All 6 default 25 Daily or weekly tracking; 65,000 credits is about 722 prompts on three models for 30 days

Source: Peec AI pricing, agency pricing and AI Instructions pages, reviewed September 23, 2026. One agency credit equals one prompt on one model for one day, so one prompt on three models tracked daily uses 90 credits a month. An extra model on a brand plan adds $35, $85 or $165 a month by tier.

The best Peec AI alternatives in 2026

The right Peec AI alternative depends on why you are switching: more engines, a lower entry price, enterprise controls, site delivery or someone to act on the findings. The table ranks six alternatives on those axes.

# Tool Best for Engines named on reviewed page Entry price Execution Main point to verify
1 Canlah AI Re-verifiable evidence plus managed GEO work ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode on every tier Free 48-hour snapshot; US$99 diagnostic Managed agency Ask for a redacted evidence pack before signing
2 Profound Enterprise programmes Up to 9, incl. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, DeepSeek, Claude Free 7-day trial; Enterprise custom Software with AI Marketer agents Enterprise price is custom; confirm which of the nine engines your contract includes
3 Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit Teams already on Semrush ChatGPT, Google AI Mode $99 per domain Software Each extra user needs another $99 licence
4 Scrunch Monitoring tied to agent-facing site delivery 4 on Core; 9 on Enterprise $250 Software with site optimisation Gemini and Google AI Mode sit on Enterprise; Core covers one country
5 Otterly.AI Lowest published entry price 4 base; Claude, AI Mode, Gemini as add-ons $29 Software Price the add-on engines you need before comparing tiers
6 Ahrefs Brand Radar Category-wide benchmarking AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot $199 index Software Check whether your brand appears in the index first
— Peec AI (reviewed) Mid-market teams and agencies 3 of 6 on self-serve; up to 13 on Enterprise $95 Software An extra model adds $35 to $165 a month by tier

“Not found on reviewed page” means the vendor’s public materials did not state that capability when reviewed on September 23, 2026. It is not proof that the capability is absent. Engine lists refer to public positioning, not independently tested access. None of the six software tools named Doubao on the pages reviewed.

1. Canlah AI: Best overall alternative for re-verifiable evidence

Canlah AI is a Singapore-based SEO + GEO agency that measures and improves brand visibility inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, reporting AI visibility as re-verifiable ranges with timestamped evidence. That probe set is the same on every tier, with a baseline at the start and monthly re-measurement.

Canlah AI ranks first in this comparison for a different job than Peec AI does. Peec AI reports a daily number from one run per prompt per model. Canlah AI’s measurement protocol locks the client’s selected buyer intents for the contract period, runs each question under at least three phrasing rotations per engine, stores every probe as a raw JSON record with prompt, full answer, citations and timestamp, and reports citation frequency as a range. The archive belongs to the client, so a sceptical stakeholder or a rival agency can re-run it.

The second difference is execution. Canlah AI uses the findings for on-site fixes, AI-optimised content and off-site authority work, delivered by a team of AI agents under human strategists.

Best for

B2B SaaS, export-focused and evidence-sensitive brands that want one accountable team to measure and act, including brands that sell across English and Chinese markets.

Limitations

Canlah AI is an agency, not a self-serve seat. You buy a managed engagement and receive an evidence archive, not a login to add prompts at will. Its pricing page lists 4 buyer intents on the entry tier and 16 on the top tier, each re-measured monthly, which is a far smaller question set than Peec AI’s Advanced plan at 350 prompts.

Its own AI visibility is also low. In a September 7, 2026 self-audit of 39 buyer questions run three times each, Canlah AI was named in seven of 84 non-branded OpenAI answers (8.3%), in none of 93 Gemini answers and in none of 51 browser-rendered Google AI Overviews. It is less suited to agencies that need to hand dozens of clients their own dashboard logins.

What to verify

Ask for a redacted sample evidence pack showing the prompt, phrasing rotation, engine, full answer, cited sources and timestamp. Confirm the engine list in writing: Perplexity and the Chinese engines are not part of standard tracking.

Verdict: The strongest Peec AI alternative in this comparison when the number has to survive scrutiny and someone has to act on it. Teams that only want a self-serve dashboard should stay with a software tool below.

2. Profound: Best for enterprise programmes

Profound positions itself as an enterprise answer-engine platform and leads with an “AI Marketer” agent layer on its pricing page reviewed on September 23, 2026. Its pricing page lists a free trial of 50 prompts run daily for seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, then a custom Enterprise plan with up to nine answer engines, SSO/SAML and SOC 2 compliance.

Best for

Large organisations that need all-time history, exports, an API and security review in one contract.

Limitations

Profound’s pricing page reserves all-time history, exports and API access for Enterprise, and Enterprise pricing is set by quotation rather than published. Peec AI’s comparison page quotes Profound self-serve tiers at $99 and $399 a month; self-serve tiers were not found on Profound’s own pricing page when it was reviewed on September 23, 2026.

What to verify

Ask which of the nine engines your contract includes and how many runs sit behind each daily data point.

Verdict: In a Peec AI vs Profound decision, Profound wins on governance and scale, and Peec AI wins on a published price and unlimited seats.

3. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: Best for teams already on Semrush

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month per domain and puts AI visibility inside a suite the SEO team already pays for. It includes 25 prompts for daily Prompt Tracking, 300 daily queries in AI Analysis reports and 10 CSV exports a day, and its Brand Performance reports run a large set of common queries through engines such as ChatGPT and Google AI Mode with no prompt writing. A free trial was not found on the reviewed page.

Best for

SEO teams that already live in Semrush and want AI visibility beside rank tracking and site audits.

Limitations

Twenty-five tracked prompts is a small panel, and each extra user needs another $99 licence. Peec AI’s own comparison article argues that aggregate mention counts from a global prompt index can mislead for specific markets, a claim buyers should test themselves.

What to verify

Check whether your buyer questions exist in the Semrush index before relying on the Visibility Overview score.

Verdict: In a Peec AI vs Semrush decision, Semrush is cheaper for one domain inside an existing suite. Peec AI tracks more custom prompts per dollar.

4. Scrunch: Best for agent-facing site delivery

Scrunch Core costs $250 a month for 125 unique prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, with five user licences, five site audits a month and one page optimisation. Enterprise adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, plus its Agent Experience Platform.

Best for

Technical and platform teams that want monitoring tied to how AI agents read their site.

Limitations

Gemini and Google AI Mode sit on Enterprise only, and Core covers one country, one language and five competitors.

What to verify

Ask for a sample of stored answers and confirm the languages and markets your plan covers.

Verdict: In a Peec AI vs Scrunch decision, Scrunch fits when monitoring and site fixes belong to one team. Peec AI offers more prompts and seats at its entry price.

5. Otterly.AI: Best for the lowest published entry price

Otterly.AI publishes Lite at $29 a month for 15 prompts, Standard at $189 for 100 prompts and Premium at $489 for 400 prompts. Every tier tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot daily with unlimited team members, and Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons.

Best for

Solo marketers and small teams that need core monitoring, link citation analysis and GEO URL audits at a published price.

Limitations

API and MCP access start at Standard, and Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are priced as add-ons rather than base engines. Repeat sampling per prompt was not found on the reviewed page.

What to verify

Price the add-on engines you need before comparing tiers.

Verdict: In a Peec AI vs Otterly decision, Otterly.AI is the cheaper way to start. Peec AI adds deeper source classification and agency structure.

6. Ahrefs Brand Radar: Best for category-wide benchmarking

Ahrefs Brand Radar runs more than 454 million search-backed prompts through six AI surfaces and states that it stores every response. The index costs $199 a month, and custom prompts are priced separately.

Best for

SEO teams that want share of voice across a category before writing their own prompts.

Limitations

The index is built from Ahrefs’ keyword data, and Ahrefs notes that coverage may be thin for low-volume brands.

What to verify

Check whether your brand appears in the index before paying for it.

Verdict: The broadest market view in this review. Add custom prompts for buyer questions the index misses.

How to decide between Peec AI and an alternative

Pick Peec AI if you are a mid-market team or agency that wants self-serve AI visibility data at a published price. Pick an alternative when one of the conditions below applies.

  • Choose Peec AI if you need unlimited seats, clear share of voice definitions and agency plans across three to six Western engines.
  • Choose Canlah AI if you need raw answers you can re-run, English and Chinese prompts measured under one protocol or a team that acts on the gaps.
  • Choose Profound if you are an enterprise that needs SSO, SOC 2 and all-time history.
  • Choose the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit if your SEO team already works in Semrush and needs one domain tracked.
  • Choose Scrunch if monitoring must connect to how AI agents read your site.
  • Choose Otterly.AI if budget is the first constraint.

Whatever you pick, ask each finalist for the raw answers and cited URLs behind one figure, because a share of voice number you cannot trace is hard to act on.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Peec AI review independent?

No. Canlah AI publishes this Peec AI review, competes with Peec AI and places its own service first among the alternatives. Every Peec AI figure here comes from Peec AI’s public pricing, agency pricing and AI Instructions pages, reviewed on September 23, 2026, and none of the tools were tested through paid accounts. Treat it as a vendor editorial assessment and check the linked source pages before deciding.

Is Peec AI worth it?

Peec AI is worth it for mid-market marketing teams and agencies that want daily AI visibility, share of voice and source data with unlimited seats from $95 a month. It is less suited to teams that need more than three engines on a self-serve plan, Doubao coverage or someone to execute the fixes.

How much does Peec AI cost?

Peec AI’s pricing pages reviewed on September 23, 2026 listed Starter at $95, Pro at $245 and Advanced at $495 a month for 50, 150 and 350 prompts. Agency plans run from $245 to $795 a month in credits, and Enterprise is custom. Annual billing saves about 15%.

Peec AI vs Profound: which is better?

Neither is better for every buyer. Profound suits enterprises that need up to nine engines, SSO and SOC 2 under a custom contract. Peec AI suits teams that want a published price, unlimited seats and self-serve setup.

Is Peec AI better than the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit?

Peec AI tracks more custom prompts per dollar, with 50 prompts on Starter against 25 in the $99 Semrush toolkit. Semrush is the simpler choice for teams already paying for its SEO suite. Test both on the same ten buyer questions before choosing.

Does Peec AI track DeepSeek, Qwen or Doubao?

Peec AI lists DeepSeek API and Qwen API as paid add-on models, not default engines. Doubao was not found on its reviewed pages. Chinese engines are not part of Canlah AI’s standard tracking, so confirm current coverage with any vendor in a live demonstration.

Can any Peec AI alternative guarantee that ChatGPT recommends my brand?

No. A tool or agency can guarantee sampling, reporting and agreed work. It cannot control how an independent model answers every question, so treat any ranking guarantee as a sales claim.

How is Canlah AI different from Peec AI?

Peec AI is self-serve software that reports daily visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice. Canlah AI is an agency that runs a locked query pool under phrasing rotation, hands over a raw evidence archive and then does the on-site and off-site GEO work. You can start with a free 48-hour snapshot of your own baseline.
